GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wyndham Championship golf clinic presented by Sunbrella® is set for Tuesday, Aug. 14 at the Grandover Resort practice range at 4 p.m., it was announced today. The 73rd annual Wyndham Championship begins tomorrow.
An annual tradition during the Piedmont Triad’s PGA TOUR event, this year’s clinic will be at the Grandover Resort, and PGA TOUR golfers will be on hand to serve as instructors. This year’s golf clinic is designed for adults and children alike. The Wyndham is hosting this clinic in conjunction with The First Tee of the Triad to promote the PGA of America’s “Get Golf Ready” program that is designed to teach beginner golfers everything they need to know about the game to play golf in just five lessons. The First Tee of the Triad will run the clinic, and junior golfers participating in the clinic will receive a free tee shirt. This clinic is free of charge and open to the general public.
Contested annually on the Donald Ross-designed course at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., the Wyndham Championship was founded in 1938 and is the seventh-oldest event on the PGA TOUR.
