GREENSBORO, N.C. – After the additions of Jordan Spieth and Keegan Bradley earlier today, with the exception of the four golfers who make the field through Monday qualifying and those who enter as an alternate, no additional golfers can join the 2024 Wyndham Championship field, the tournament announced today. The 85th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 8-11, 2024, at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
The field includes three-time major winner and 2015 FedExCup champion Jordan Spieth, Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley, FedExCup No. 9 Sungjae Im, FedExCup No. 10 Shane Lowry, FedEx Cup No. 15 Akshay Bhatia, FedExCup No. 17 Robert MacIntyre, FedExCup No. 21/world No. 15 Brian Harman, 2018 FedExCup champion Justin Rose, FedExCup No. 22 Christian Bezuidenhout, FedExCup No. 24 Davis Thompson, FedExCup No. 27 Billy Horschel, No. 31 Stephan Jeager, FedExCup No. 32 Thomas Detry, defending champion Lucas Glover along with past champions FedExCup No. 34 J.T. Poston, FedExCup No. 36 Si Woo Kim, Kevin Kisner, Webb Simpson and 2012 FedExCup Champion Brandt Snedeker as well as Wake Forest University alumni FedExCup No. 35 Cameron Young and FedExCup No. 45 Will Zalatoris, Min Woo Lee and Nicolai Hojgaard.

- 22 of the top 50 in FedExCup points
- 30 of the top 60 in FedExCup points
- 40 of the top 70 in FedExCup points
- 51 of the top 80 in FedExCup points
- 61 of the top 90 in FedExCup points
- 70 of the top 100 in FedExCup points
- 21 of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Rankings
“These numbers show the significance of the Wyndham Championship date very clearly,” Executive Director Mark Brazil said. “It’s about making the top 70 and advancing into the FedExCup playoffs. It’s about making the top 50 after the BMW Championship in two weeks to be in the 2025 signature events, and with Sungjae Im and Shane Lowry and others that are up there pretty high in points, it’s also about moving up or moving into the top 10 in points for the $40 Million Comcast Business Tour Top 10 that’s awarded after our tournament. This field is one of our strongest ever, and it should be a lot of fun at Sedgefield Country Club next week.”
Also in the field is last week’s 3M Championship winner, Jhonattan Vegas, who had elbow and shoulder surgery and did not play in 2023. He is 67th in FedExCup points and 86th in the Official World Golf Rankings. Nick Dunlap won The American Express as an amateur, turned professional and won the Barracuda Championship two weeks ago. He’s 66th in FedExCup points and 41st in the Official World Golf Rankings. Vegas and Dunlap are two of 16 players in the field who won a PGA TOUR event this season.
In addition, 19 golfers in the Wyndham Championship field are playing in the Summer Olympic Games in Paris representing 15 countries.
Among the sponsor’s exemptions is rising amateur, Florida State University junior, Luke Clanton. He has five PGA TOUR starts this season, and the highlight was the John Deere Classic where he finished tied for second a week after he finished tied for 10th at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Wake Forest University alumnus and 2011 FedExCup champion Bill Haas and two-time Wyndham Championship winner and 2012 FedExCup champion Brandt Snedeker will both play on a sponsor’s exemption along with Wesley Bryan, Patton Kizzire and Michael Thorbjornsen.
